How do I request on-demand support automatically when using the check-in?

In the app, you’ll see a life ring icon at the top of the screen. This allows you to request on-demand support whenever you need it. See How do I request on-demand support?.


You can also choose to link your on-demand support to the check-in. By default, this option is turned off, but you can turn it on in your app settings.


If you link them, someone from Brain in Hand will contact you if you:

  • check in as 'Things are hard'
  • check in as 'Something's off' three times in a row on the same calendar day


Please note: If you’ve already chosen a personal responder to answer your requests for on-demand support, you won’t see these settings.


You always have the option to cancel being contacted if you change your mind.
