You can request on-demand support by using the life ring icon at the top of your mobile app.
You may find it helpful to have the extra reassurance of somebody being notified when you're having a challenging time.
What happens when someone contacts you
When you first get your Brain in Hand licence, on-demand support is set up for someone to phone you, but you can change this in your app settings so that they’ll email or text you instead.
The person who contacts you from Brain in hand is known as a 'responder'.
Your responder will:
- listen as you talk about your situation and remind you of your strategies that may help
- help you to think of new solutions
- make notes on your timeline, so you can use them later and review them with your supporter
- communicate with your other support if needed
If you've chosen a personal responder
If you’ve chosen someone you know to be the person who answers your on-demand support requests, you won't see the life ring icon.
