Some users prefer to have someone they know personally, such as a family member, or a member of their university support team, to respond to requests for on-demand support. We call this a ‘personal responder’.
It’s up to you and them to decide how they should respond if you ask for extra help. You might want them to get in touch with you as soon as possible, or just be aware that you're facing challenges at that moment.
If you’d like to do this there are two options.
- Receiving notifications only - your personal responder will receive a notification (by text message and/or email) if you request a response.
- Receiving notifications and access to your Brain in Hand account - your personal responder will receive a notification (by text message and/or email) when you request a response. They'll also have full access to your account so they can view your strategies and timeline, as well as edit content or leave comments.
How to set up your personal responder
You can set them up when you register for Brain in Hand. If you’re already registered, contact our customer service team who can help you add a personal responder to your account.
You can do this by using the 'Contact us' button on this website or calling our support team (or asking someone to call on your behalf) on 01392 247 909 option 1.
