How do I know what type of Brain in Hand licence I have?

There are two types of Brain in Hand licence and the type that you have depends on who pays for it.

Individual licence

This is the type of licence that you either pay for yourself, or is requested and paid for on your behalf by another person or organisation.

Organisational licence

This type of licence is paid for by an organisation that has purchased multiple licences, and has provided one to you.

Duration of licences

Individual licences are normally set up for an initial period of 12 months, but this may be different if we've otherwise agreed a different duration in writing such as our monthly rolling contract.

Organisational licences have an initial duration of UP TO 12 months, but it could be more. Again, any longer duration would be agreed in writing and would depend on the contract we hold with that organisation.

The best way to understand how long your licence will last is to talk to the person or department that handles Brain in Hand licences within the organisation that provided you with it. You can also ask us by contacting Brain in Hand.

You can view your licence end date in the web app on the manage account screen.

Learn more about what happens when your licence expires.
