What are the fair use guidelines for personal coaching sessions?

Modified on Wed, 20 Mar at 9:36 AM

We want Brain in Hand to work well for all users, and for everyone to have fair and equal access to the resources we offer. For that reason, we monitor usage of the features to understand how users are interacting with them.

Personal coaching sessions are a key part of the service. Your initial session helps you to get to know your coach, understand how to use the system, and to outline your likes, dislikes and goals. Further review sessions are there to monitor your progress and to make each other aware of new information, and you can book ad-hoc sessions too, if there's something you feel you need to go through with your coach or if your needs or circumstances change.

However, Brain in Hand is designed to help you to be more independent and to manage your schedule (and any difficult situations) yourself, using the other tools in the system such as solution packs and the problems and solutions that you build up as you continue to use it.

It's important that you don't use coaching sessions as a first course of action for every problem, as the coaches need to be able to serve all our users. For the same reason it's important that you let us know as soon as possible (ideally with 24 hours' notice) if you need to cancel or reschedule a coaching session.

If you're requesting a lot of coaching sessions (or making repeated cancellations) we'll work with you to understand when and why you're requesting sessions. Sometimes Brain in Hand isn't the right solution, but we'll discuss your needs with you, to make sure it's a good fit.
