What's a supporter and do all users need one?

Modified on Wed, 25 Sep at 4:40 PM

A supporter is someone that a Brain in Hand user trusts to help them with using the service.

It could be someone the user knows professionally or personally – the important thing is that the user knows the person well and is happy to work with them.

A user can choose to have a supporter if they want one. It's not mandatory, it depends on that user's needs and preferences.

How a supporter can help

The supporter can be a point of contact for Brain in Hand and they can help with parts of using the service that the user isn’t comfortable with alone. We also recommend supporters attend the user’s coaching sessions, so they can get to know the software too.

Throughout the user’s Brain in Hand journey, the supporter may provide help to reinforce positive achievements, identify any patterns, trends, or unresolved difficulties, and help create new strategies where needed. Users can give supporters access to their Brain in Hand accounts, making it easy to review how things are going and co-produce new strategies for areas of difficulty.

In most cases the supporter will be cc'd into emails sent to the user.

A user may also want their supporter to be the person who responds to requests for on-demand support.
