What is a coaching session?

Coaching sessions are a safe space to discuss what you need, and to help you get the most from Brain in Hand. You can have a supporter with you during your sessions if you want to.


Your sessions will focus on:

  • exploring what's important to you and where you face obstacles
  • developing strategies to overcome obstacles and challenges
  • using the Brain in Hand mobile app and website


What will I do during my first session?


In your first session you'll:

  • meet your coach and get an introduction to Brain in Hand
  • discuss your strengths and interests and what's important to you
  • explore the obstacles and challenges you face from day to day
  • break down challenges into more manageable steps


You'll also spend time understanding the app and website, including:

  • using the website to add useful solutions and events to your account
  • signing into the mobile app, and accessing solutions wherever you are
  • using the traffic lights in the mobile app and learning about on-demand support
  • using the Timeline to reflect on what works best for you
