Can I use my Brain in Hand mobile app overseas?

Yes, you can use Brain in Hand while overseas, but there are some things to be aware of. 

Time zones 

Mobile phones often update their international time zone automatically, but you can also do it manually. 

It’s important that your phone shows the right time zone, so you can see the correct time on your timeline and get diary notifications at the correct time.  

Data charges 

You can use on-demand support, but there may be additional data charges. That’s something you’d need to check with your mobile provider.

Syncing Brain in Hand from the mobile app to the web app requires an active internet connection. Roaming data charges for your mobile usually apply when you’re abroad (and aren’t on a Wi-Fi connection). You could switch off mobile data on your mobile and only use Wi-Fi, for example, in a hotel. 

SIM cards 

If you swap your UK SIM card for a local SIM card to use a local number, you can still use the mobile and web app for diary events and to keep a record of your mood reminders. However, you won’t receive any calls or texts.
