The Brain in Hand app has two types of reminders: diary event reminders and traffic light reminders. You can personalise these notifications by turning them on or off and adjusting how often you receive them.
Diary event reminders:
If you set reminders for your Brain in Hand diary events, you'll receive a notification at the time you choose. To add a reminder, open the event and select Add a reminder. You can set up to three reminders per event.
Traffic light reminders:
You can manage your Brain in Hand notification settings in the mobile app.
In the Android mobile app:
- Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top left corner
- Select Settings
- In the Reminders section, toggle Traffic Light Reminders on or off
- If your Traffic Light Reminders are on, you can set a Start Time, End Time, and the time interval for reminders between those times
In the iOS app:
- Tap the Account icon (top right) to open the Account menu
- Select Settings
- In the Traffic Light Reminders section, toggle Traffic Light Reminders on or off
- If the Traffic Light Reminders are on, you can set a Start Time, End Time, and the Remind me time interval for reminders between those times
Pausing reminders for the day
- At any time, you can pause all Brain in Hand reminders until midnight. To learn more about how to do this on both Android and iOS, see our help centre article: How can I pause my notifications?
